Find Your Place to Make a Difference

Every Sunday at Epic House happens because real people show up for one another. Whether you've got two hours a month or a heart for the long haul, there's a place here where what you bring matters.

Why We Serve

Serving is how faith stops being something you watch and starts being something you live. At Epic House, we follow that lead by loving each other, our neighbors across Sherwood OR, and people we may never meet. Serving is one of the fastest ways to find your people, grow in your faith, and make a real difference for someone else.

Three Ways You Can Serve

Use your unique gifts to help build the Kingdom.

Whether your heart's at home on a Sunday morning, out in the community, or supporting something bigger — there's a place built for you.

Inside the Church

Sunday wouldn't happen without you. From worship and tech to guest services, kids, and coffee, these are the teams that make church feel like home. Volunteer needs on Sundays are one of our biggest focuses right

Across Our Community

Real care for real Sherwood neighbors. From our annual community story hunt to city cleanup days and outreach projects, there are real ways for you to bring love to the streets you already drive every day.

Around the World

Faith that crosses borders. Through One Message Worth Knowing, Epic House supports work in Uganda, and when opportunities arise, there's a way for you to be part of it from right here in Sherwood OR.

How to Get Plugged In

Serving at Epic House isn't a class. It's a process built to find the right fit for you. Fill out a quick interest form, and a volunteer coordinator will sit down with you to talk through where you're wired to thrive. Then we'll plug you in with a real team and a real leader.

Inside the Church

Most of what you experience on a Sunday at Epic House happens because someone showed up early to make it happen. These are the teams that make church feel like home, and they're where most people start serving.

Worship

Sing or play on stage during both services. Audition and weekly rehearsals required.

First Impressions

Be the first face someone sees. Greet guests, help with seating, make everyone feel welcome.

Kids and Youth

Pour into the next generation. Background screening, references, and six months attending Epic House required.

Barista

Run the espresso bar and make specialty drinks for guests. Background screening required.

Tech and Sound

Help with audio, visual, and live production. This role usually requires both Sunday services.

Care and Prayer

Join a team that prays for the church and for individuals by name.

Building and Grounds

Help with indoor repairs, outdoor maintenance, and keeping the property in good shape.

Cleaning

A mid-week commitment done once a month. Checklist and supplies provided. Great for couples.

Volunteer FAQ

How do I volunteer?

Fill out the form on this page or tap "Sign Up to Serve" in the app. Someone from our team will follow up with you to find the right fit.

How do I volunteer with kids?

We'll schedule a time to meet with you and learn about your experience. If you serve in kids, you'll need to complete a background check. We also ask for references and six months attending Epic House. These are insurance and safety standards we take seriously because your kids matter to us.

Can I serve if I'm brand new?

Some roles are great first steps with no waiting period. Greeting, ushering, and coffee are the easiest ways for you to jump in. Others require more time. Start where it feels right and grow from there.

How do I volunteer with music?

We look for instrumental, vocal, and technical ability. We'll schedule a time to meet you, get to know you, and discover your level of ability. The process will help us find the best next step for you.

How do I volunteer with students?

We'll schedule a time to meet with you and learn about your experience serving youth. If you serve in youth, you'll need to complete a background and driving check. We hold these roles to a high standard because the students and families trusting us with their kids deserve that.

Ready to Find Your Spot?

Tell us a little about you. Your interests, your availability, and what you're curious about. Our volunteer coordinator will reach out personally to talk through where you'd thrive and walk you through next steps.
