Part-Time Worship Leader

Position Summary

The Worship Leader / Ministry Associate provides spiritual and ministry leadership by planning and leading worship services, developing worship team volunteers, overseeing small group discipleship ministries, and preaching periodically throughout the year. This individual will work closely with the Senior Pastor and church leadership to help fulfill the church's mission of making disciples and growing a healthy, Christ-centered congregation.
Reports To:  Senior Pastor
Status: Part-Time (10-12 hours per week)
Compensation:  $2000.00 monthly (negotiable)

Primary Responsibilities

Worship Leadership
  • Plan, organize, and lead worship services that align with the church's mission, values, and preaching calendar.
  • Select music, coordinate service flow, and collaborate with the Senior Pastor for weekly worship gatherings.
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and shepherd worship team volunteers.
  • Lead worship rehearsals and cultivate excellence in worship ministry.
  • Coordinate with audio, visual, and livestream volunteers as needed.
  • Introduce new songs and worship elements that support congregational engagement.
  • Maintain worship ministry resources and equipment.

Qualifications

Required
  • A growing and vibrant personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  • Agreement with the church's statement of faith and core values.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead congregational worship.
  • Strong vocal and musical proficiency.
  • Experience leading volunteer teams.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with church staff and volunteers.
  • Faithfully supporting the financial life of Epic House.
  • Commitment to “The Billy Graham Rule”
Preferred
  • Previous worship leadership experience in a church setting.
  • Basic knowledge of worship technology, sound systems, and presentation software.

The Worship Leader:

  • Participate in the life and ministries of the church beyond Sunday services.

  • Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive church matters.

Suggested Hours Breakdown

  • Worship Planning & Rehearsal: 4-6 hours
  • Sunday Worship Leadership: 4-5 hours
  • Staff Meetings & Administration: 1-2 hours (preferred)
